Britannia Educational Services supports two staff members trip to UK

 

Britannia Educational Services on 16th September 2011 supported two staff members to go to the UK. on a familiarization visit  to meet with Britannia partners in the UK.  The trip was organized so that they could see first -hand the facilities and places Britannia Educational represent in the Kurdistan Region and enable them to fully inform prospective students on their return.

Mr Himdad Mustafa and Mr Hawree Mawlood began their trip with a visit to East Anglia University where they spent a week meeting faculty staff and students and become familiar with the university facilities. 

Himdad and Hawree also visited Cambridge University Press and were given a tour and also had training on the new services they provide including the Cambridge Placement test, which tests students level of English and is available at all Britannia Centres across the Kurdistan Region.

They also met with INTO representatives and had a tour of their facilities in London and Brighton, learning about their administration procedures and the courses in offer. 

After their tour of the South of England they took a train and headed North, where they visited Calderdale College based in Halifax.  Britannia Educational Services has sent many Kurdish students there, where they have successfully completed English Academic courses and attained high scores in their IELTS exam.

Following their visit to Halifax they also met with Andrew Mandebura the international officer at Huddersfield University who gave them a tour of the various faculties including the English language centre, computer and science labs.

There was also an opportunity for students from Soran University to attend a seminar on PhD and Master programmes.
