The attendance by Mrs Rasheda Zaher-Draey, to the English UK Fair held this year at the Dead Sea in Jordan signaled the official acceptance of Britannia Educational Services as a full English UK Partner Agency. English UK is the world’s leading language teaching association with more than 450 members – all accredited by the British Council – including private language schools, educational trusts and charities and language centres in further education colleges and universities.
On the 26th September 2012, Ms Joanna Muldoon, International Officer for Glasgow Caledonian University and Dr Ian Pearce from the School of Health and Life Sciences visited Britannia Educational Services in Erbil. They gave a presentation on the courses and campus in Glasgow and explained it is a vibrant city in which to study in the heart of Scotland. They spent a day meeting students and advising on places at Glasgow Caledonian University.
On the 24th September 2012, Ms Gillian Thompson, International Recruitment Manager for Newcastle University visited Britannia Educational Services in Erbil. She gave training to our counseling staff and had a look around our facilities and was impressed by the developments being made in Kurdistan and the many courses and exams on offer. She spent two days meeting students and advising on places at Newcastle University. She also gave a presentation on the University and life in Newcastle.
On the 18th of September 2012 MrsDeemenObaidour Director of Studies attended a Cambridge Centre Managers course in Cambridge,England.She met many ESOL Examiners from around the world as well as local Cambridge staff and after completion of the course she was awarded a Cambridge Centre Manager certificate. As a result of this our centre has been approved by Cambridge to start offering Cambridge ESOL online which we will run in the near future.
